AMA EVENTS
WALK INTO MY FUTURE
Provides an opportunity for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd graders from LaGrange and Steuben counties a chance to experience the idea of a college education. The children participated in various activities hosted by departments and organizations on campus. Trine students, faculty, and staff interacted with the children and lead them from place to place.
BREAST CANCER
AWARNESS
Fundraiser to support the fight against Breast Cancer during the Month of October by purchasing a gel wrist band inscribed with Breast Cancer symbol and Trine University AMA.
CO-HOST TRINE CAREER & INTERNSHIP FAIR
The Career BootCamp assisted students in exploring careers by industry and learning to articulate their strengths and experiences to an employer through their resume, LinkedIn profile, and elevator pitch. Attendees walked away from the event with industry insight, contacts, and a strategy to find their next internship or job.
APPLEBEE'S SHORT STACKS
Partnered with the Athletic Department we hosted an Applebee’s Short Stacks for a Tall Cause for the last double header men’s & women’s basketball home game. The Flapjack basic premise is to offer Applebee’s restaurant facility during non-operating hours to help raise money by selling set breakfast tickets to Family and Friends attending the game. Half the proceeds will help send selected members to attend AMA conference (s). We plan to host these types of events annually.
WHEN WE ALL VOTE
Partnered with the non-partisan initiative named “When We All Vote”, aims to register as many people as possible ahead of the upcoming midterm elections, an event which usually sees low voter turnout. Members set up tables in Ketner’s School of Business and in the University Center providing information to register and/or encourage absentee voting to increase voter turnout among Millennials and Generation Z.
